Irish Crystal Care

Caring for your product.

Looking after your crystal is very important and the best way to keep your product in excellent condition is:

Handle it carefully.
We recommend that you do NOT wash your crystal in a dish washer because the chemicals in the tabs are corrosive to the crystal and may dull the sparkle in your crystal.
We do recommend that you wash your fine crystal in warm water using a mild detergent. Rinse in fresh water and allow to dry naturally.
Wipe the crystal with a soft dry cloth.

Frequently asked question.

Is it possible to remove stains from a decanter or vase?

Yes! Follow these easy steps:

We recommend for this situation, that you swirl a handful of uncooked rice, in a solution of lemon juice or white vinegar and lukewarm water,Leave overnight to allow the acidity in the lemon juice or white vinegar to loosen the scale and swirling the rice in the solution again, will remove the loosened residue from inside a Decanter or Vase. Repeat as necesary.

For tougher stains try lukewarm water and add a denture cleaning tablet, allow it to soak.

Rinse in clean fresh water and allow to dry naturally.

Wipe with a soft dry cloth.

Please note: In some instances where stains have been left for a prolonged period of time, then it is much more difficult to get a result, as damage has been done to the finish of the crystal.

Alcohol should not be stored in decanters for a prolonged period of time.

Remember a decanter is designed to decant liquids and is not a storage unit.
